Lately

one.  I spent Thanksgiving at my aunt-who's-not-really-related-to-me's house with her husband, daughter and her husband, daughter and son.  We ate like kings (and queens).  My "aunt" is like my very own Ina Garten; she's an amazing cook.

two.  I worked Black Friday at midnight.  I didn't get to enjoy Thanksgiving as much as I would have liked because I was too worried about leaving for work in enough time to avoid traffic or debating whether or not I should take a nap beforehand.  At midnight there were people clawing at the gate to be let in a half hour early, even though we were having the exact same sale we were having the entire week prior.  That was after I witnessed people camping out in front of Best Buy on MONDAY.  I know, a whole new level of  ridiculousness.

three.  If I could, I would double minor in Gender Studies and Developmental Psychology.

four.  I re-fell in love with Divergent and Insurgent by Veronica Roth.  I know they're young adult fiction but I can't help it!  I love books about dystopian societies with teen heroes of the fantasy variety, i.e., Harry Potter, City of Bones (The Mortal Instruments trilogy), The Hunger Games trilogy.

five.  Hot chocolate with marshmallows makes everything better.  Big marshmallows only, the minis don't cut it - no matter how many you put in your mug.

six.  My bestie, Emily, and I went shopping on Newbury Street last week and I dropped $40 on LUSH products.  I was hoping I wouldn't love them so I wouldn't be tempted to repurchase but I did love them so my wallet will continue to empty.

seven.  I bought my family and I a Kindle Fire for Christmas.  My mom got a Nook last Christmas and a Kindle Paperwhite that she won in a raffle.  I used to be a "real books only" kind of girl but I have been using the Kindle the past few days and I love it!  Plus it was $30 off because of Cyber Monday.

eight.  I think I have a crush on a guy.  Downside is that he has a girlfriend...and has no idea I exist.  C'est la vie.

nine.  I've had the same nightmare for the past week.  I literally jolt awake at the same point in the nightmare every time, without ever finding out the ending.

ten.  I loved last week's episode of Glee because:
     1.  Superheroes are badass.  Duh.
     2.  The Finn I know and love is finally back.  I loved his "Mr. Shue-esque" sweater-vest.
     3.  Coach Beiste is the best, especially when she calls kids, "Punkin".
     4.  Blaine finally got his act together at the end of the episode with the help of Sam.  He's been so wimpy and pouty lately.
     5.  Both Sam and Joe finally got featured for the first time in a while.
     6.  I love Ryder and I especially loved how they portrayed Ryder's dyslexia, how he struggled with it over the years.  Dyslexia goes overlooked too much.  Once again, this show pushes the boundaries of controversial topics like homosexuality, religion, eating disorders, sex, suicide, plastic surgery, etc.  It gives us a severe reality check that we sometimes need.

eleven.  I'm considering getting my tragus pierced.  I haven't decided because I'm afraid I will regret it.  No hasty decisions though.

Hope you all had a lovely Thanksgiving filled with light and love.
