Love Notes

     Usually when I get to work, I clock in on the screen in the backroom and make my way to the floor, where one of my managers "chats me in".   She tells me about the sales and promotions going on, the sales and Gap Card quota goals for the day and what projects she wants me to work on.  If I am scheduled to be on the Kids & Baby side of the store, I head there.  The person on shift before me usually leaves when I arrive.
     Today when I got to work, my good friend Zac was on shift before me.  I had to pop out back to grab a cart so I could more easily move some merchandise around.  When I got back, Zac was leaving but he had left me a note on some receipt paper:

Dear Erin,

I love you so much.  

You are a fabulous, wall-rounded woman who I am sincerely blessed to know.  

Stay beautiful, you!  

Although finals may get you down, know that I am always here for you.

      He leaves me these from time to time, always with encouraging and kind words.  Zac is a senior in high school, three years my junior.  This age gap seems strange to some people but I am lucky to have a friend like him in my life, regardless of our age difference.
      I am out of my mind with finals and essays; I have far too much to do in way too short of time.  He made my day, made my week with this little love note.  Friends are wonderful when your life becomes a bit chaotic and crazy.  They're good to lean on, they're good to cry on, and they're always good for a smile.
