Purring
I always think of Sunday mornings. Sleeping in...eating pancakes when normal people eat lunch...staying in your pajamas all day...showering and then putting on new pajamas to go back to bed. I love Sunday mornings.
Tuesday mornings are my mid-week Sunday mornings. I don't have class until the afternoon so I'm usually able to sleep in a bit, catch up on some work and take my time getting ready before school and/or work.
This morning I woke up to my little cat, Mina, pawing at me. I know she loves to get under the covers when it's cold so I held up the blanket so she could sneak in next to me, and then went right back to sleep. When I awoke the second time, I had one cat asleep under the covers on my right side, and the other asleep on top of the covers to my left. I was trapped, but I smiled and fell back asleep.
I'm a crazy cat lady, and I'm fully aware of that. But those moments like that make me happy - when the house is ever so quiet, I'm buried up to my nose under blankets and my cats are cozied up beside me. It's the small things in life, I guess.
Happy Tuesday, folks.
