After a few chaotic weeks of panicked planning and last minute errands, the bridal shower FINALLY came together! Ellie was super surprised, even though she's picky and demanded to know most of the details. The day was partly sunny, a little breezy and altogether PERFECT!
This was the venue, the Pilgrim Sands in Plymouth, MA. The staff was wonderful - helpful and understanding, but more than willing to allow us to do whatever we wanted. No one spent much time outside but the option was still nice.

Gina and I had bought Roselle a fancy glass to use that day and then keep forever. It was a nice touch that made her drink special and she had a memento afterward to keep.

THE LOOT. |
Gina got married last summer and one of her friends made her a "Panty Line", a long strip of ribbon with different pairs of underwear pinned to it. The poem was clever and funny; everyone laughed and for Roselle who LOVES panties, it was too perfect! Each pair was for a different occasion: wedding night, honeymoon, trying to get pregnant, and my favorite - the granny panties!
As you know, I'm the older of two sisters. I never had an older sister and until I became friends with Roselle, my friends were mostly my own age or younger. There's nine years between us in age, but we always have a great time. I'm so grateful to have her as a best friend and honorary big sister. She calls me on my crap and we disagree on most things. At the same time, we completely understand what the other means without asking.
To many more years of friendship and love, best of luck to Roselle (and Justin).
