For the Love of Camelot

  • Netflix is my kryptonite; I watched Season one of Revenge in about three days last month!  I recently started watching Merlin and I'm kind of addicted!
  • You know how something breaks and you keep it, thinking to yourself, "I can totally fix that!  I'll do it later."  I totally just realized how many things I own that are broken and easily fixable but have yet to be repaired.  I decided to be super productive this afternoon so I not only cleaned the top of my bureau but I also sewed the strap of my backpack that had snapped, fixed the beads falling off of a dress for about two years, and glued a piece that had fallen off a jewelry box my cousin gave me.
  • I rediscovered my love of kale!  It's amazing I survived for nineteen years before I knew how wonderful that vegetable is!
  • I DESPISE The Hurt Locker.  I've watched it twice now, both times suffering for two hours.  I tried, I really did.  I wanted to give it it a fair chance, honest.  I mean, it won the Academy Award for Best Picture last year!  I still hate it though.  I don't know what it is about it.  I found the plot predictable with limited character development.
  • My biology exam yesterday was a hundred times easier than I expected!  I studied for it and to be honest, I probably could have gotten away with not having studied at all! I got a 92 :)(I'm glad I did anyway though).
  • I hate peer editing.  I always end up being that jerk who makes a million comments and corrections on the other person's paper because I genuinely care about the writing of this person and want them to get the best grade possible.  My partner handed back my paper with two notes on it (one was a missing end quotation mark and the other I misspelled "the" as "hte").  That paper took me only an hour and a half this morning and a fraction of my attention.  It definitely needs more than two corrections.  I would much rather someone rip my paper to shreds and have to fix most of it, than have someone be lazy or nice and tell me my paper is amazing.
  • I miss yoga.  I haven't done it in ages and I think I'm out of shape.  Maybe this weekend I'll attend a class.
