Procrastination At Its Finest
It snowed again today so I called out from work and watched my sister shovel from the comfort of my bedroom window. I decided to put off the three papers I have yet to write and instead make a list of my top ten favorite movies! There were a few that deserve honorable mentions: The Illusionist, The Amazing Spiderman, Thor, Iron Man, Despicable Me, Singing In the Rain and Dead Poets' Society. But there are ten that I could watch again and again and again:
ten. My Best Friend's Wedding - Julia Roberts and Dermot Mulroney: it doesn't get much better than that!
nine. Pretty Woman - Julia Roberts' laugh and crazy hair with over the knee hooker boots meets the dashing, rich Richard Gere. Who says fairytales don't happen in real life?
eight. The Wedding Date - Dermot Mulroney is delicious. I think there's a pattern developing here...
seven. White Christmas - Vera Ellen's calves are ridiculous - I wish I could dance like her. Bing Crosby and Danny Kaye: as dynamic of a duo Gene Kelly and Donald O'Connor easily! :)
six. The Blind Side - Sandra Bullock knocked this one out of the park.
five. Friends With Benefits - I was never a big Mila Kunis fan, but something about this movie makes me extremely happy.
four. When Harry Met Sally - I can't believe I had never seen this movie until a month ago! It's a classic. I like books and movies about best friends who fall in love, the girl next door kind of thing. I like to root for the people who are meant to be together but never acknowledge it.
three. Hello Dolly - In a word (or name): Barbra. It was my favorite when I was a child; I watched it so much that the VHS got worn out and my mom had to buy me another copy. I know every word, every song, every lyric in the entire movie.
two. Tangled - I'm a sucker for Disney's movies.
one. The Holiday - Total chick flick and cliche but it always makes me happy, no matter what mood I'm in!
