Hello September

And with September comes school.  I had my first day of classes today... in the pouring rain.  I had Introduction to Sociology first this morning, an entire class filled with only freshmen.  My professor asked for a show of hands who was a freshman, sophomore, etc.  When I raised my hand, every head snapped around to stare at me.  On my way out
When I sat down in my second class, Psychology of Personality, I accidentally dropped something out of my bag.  It was a little booklet of "coupons" my best friend made me for my birthday last year.  The guy seated behind me picked it up for me, but I couldn't quite figure out how to explain it so I instead turned bright red and stammered a thank you.  He was very nice and smiled when I laughed after I stuttered.  I completely embarrassed myself in front of a cute guy, as only I could do on the first day of classes.
My final class of the day was Developmental Psychology.  I love my professor!   He's an older gentleman, originally from Texas.  He's absolutely hilarious and I can picture him as the coolest grandfather ever.  We cover everything from prenatal to death.  I've spent a lot of class time focused on childhood psychology and I'm hoping this will give me a wider knowledge of general life psychology.
I found out that I have to drop one of my classes because it was designed to learn English as a second language, not teach it.  I now have only five classes instead of six; I took an extra class as my backup in case I ended up hating my Bharatanatyam dance class.  So now I will just have to stick it out even if I end u disliking it.  I'll know by the end of the day tomorrow.  I only have Environmental Geology and Bharatanatyam tomorrow.
The thing you have to understand about my school is that it requires so many general education requirements that I have only just gotten around to figuring out what I actually want to do with my life.  So now that I want to switch majors, I pretty much am forced to attend college for at least another two years.  I'll talk more about the whole switching majors ordeal in another post.
Last spring it rained nearly every Thursday.  Fingers crossed that won't be the case this semester!
