Giggles McGee
I'm a nervous laugher. I can't help it. When a situation gets awkward and I feel nervous or uncomfortable, I laugh. It's as if all the discomfort builds up inside me and I can't figure out how to get rid of it, except to release it through my mouth as laughter. I don't laugh at funerals or anything; I've had friends who do that.
I think this minor detail about myself contributes to to my lacking romantic life (I panic when guys I find attractive talk to me and laugh for lack of words) and my love for the television show, New Girl. I was watching Four Weddings and A Funeral tonight with my mom when I had to cover my eyes and look away. I was laughing so hard I couldn't breathe. During one part of the movie, Hugh Grant gets trapped in the dumbwaiter of a hotel room after his friend's wedding when the newlyweds bust in and start having sex. Instead of trying to sneak out or waiting until the couple leaves, Hugh Grant just hides until the sex is over and then casually makes the most awkward exit in the history of all movies.
I practically died. You know the phrase, "bust a gut"? It's definitely possible.
